Privacy Policy

Effective: August 4, 2026  ·  Last updated: August 4, 2026

The short version: Your detailed Net Billable ledger stays on your device. Net Billable does send limited analytics—including rounded income and hourly-rate values—plus crash diagnostics and subscription information to the providers described below. We do not sell your personal data or receive your payment-card details.

This Privacy Policy explains how Roohan (“Roohan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Net Billable mobile application, visit Net Billable’s legal or support pages, or contact us. Roohan is the operator of Net Billable and the controller of personal data described in this Policy, except where a third party acts independently under its own privacy notice.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to Net Billable’s iOS and Android apps and Net Billable-specific legal and support pages. It does not replace the privacy notices of Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other third parties you independently use.

Net Billable does not require you to create a Roohan account. We do not operate a server that receives a copy of your complete payment ledger, client list, rate inputs, or tax profile.

2. Information we handle

Category Examples Where it goes
Local app records Client names; exact payment amounts and dates; billable status; tax amounts and paid-quarter status; target income; rate, hours, expenses, region, currency, language, theme, and other preferences. Stored in Net Billable’s local app storage on your device. Roohan does not receive the complete records. Limited rounded values are separately sent in analytics as described below.
Analytics and device data Firebase installation/app-instance identifiers; app version; device model and category; operating system; language; approximate region derived from network information; screen views; feature and paywall interactions; purchase/restoration events and plan type; billable/non-billable status; rounded income values; and rounded calculated hourly rates. Sent to Google Firebase Analytics. Net Billable does not intentionally send client names, exact ledger entries, tax profiles, or contact details as analytics parameters.
Crash and diagnostic data Crash stack traces, error details, app state and version, device model, operating system, installation identifiers, timestamps, and technical logs attached to an error. Sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics so we can diagnose stability and performance problems.
Purchase and subscription data An anonymous RevenueCat app-user identifier, app-store receipt or purchase token, product identifier, purchase and renewal dates, subscription status, entitlement status, store, app version, and related transaction metadata. Processed by Apple or Google for billing and by RevenueCat for entitlement validation and subscription management. Roohan does not receive your full payment-card or bank details.
Support communications Your email address, name if provided, message, attachments, and information you choose to share when contacting support. Received by Roohan and the providers used to host and deliver our email or support service.
Website request data IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, referrer, and security logs generated when you visit a Net Billable legal or support page. May be processed in ordinary server logs by Roohan and its website-hosting provider. These standalone legal pages do not themselves use advertising cookies or embedded analytics scripts.

Device backups

Your operating-system or device-backup settings may include app data in a backup controlled by Apple, Google, or your device provider. Roohan does not control those backups. Review your device and cloud-backup settings if you do not want Net Billable data included.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • provide local calculations, settings, and record-keeping features;
  • validate purchases, restore entitlements, display subscription status, and prevent purchase fraud;
  • understand feature usage, onboarding, and subscription conversion;
  • diagnose crashes, errors, and performance or compatibility problems;
  • respond to support, privacy, and legal requests;
  • protect Net Billable, users, providers, and Roohan from abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity; and
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use client names or your full local ledger to provide advertising, and Net Billable does not display third-party ads.

5. How information is disclosed

We do not sell your personal data. We disclose limited data only as described here:

  • Google Firebase processes analytics, installation identifiers, and crash diagnostics. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
  • RevenueCat processes anonymous identifiers, receipts or purchase tokens, transaction metadata, and entitlement status. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play process purchases, billing details, store accounts, refunds, and subscription management under their own terms and privacy notices.
  • Hosting, email, and support providers may process website logs and communications on our behalf to operate the legal pages and answer requests.
  • Legal, safety, and business transfers: we may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of Net Billable, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Providers may also handle data as independent controllers for their own legitimate purposes, such as app-store account administration, payment compliance, security, and fraud prevention. Their privacy notices govern that processing.

6. Analytics, identifiers, and tracking choices

Firebase Analytics collects app-usage events and pseudonymous installation identifiers. On iOS, Net Billable asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you allow it, the analytics SDK may access Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), which can support attribution or measurement across apps and websites. If you decline, IDFA access and permission-dependent cross-app tracking are blocked.

Declining Apple’s tracking prompt does not turn off ordinary Firebase Analytics events in the current version of Net Billable. Those events may continue using non-advertising installation identifiers. You can change Apple’s tracking permission under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android provides device-level controls to reset or limit advertising identifiers, but those controls may not stop general app analytics.

Roohan does not currently offer an in-app switch to disable all Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics collection. If this changes, we will update this Policy and the relevant in-app controls.

7. Retention

  • Local records remain on your device until you delete individual entries, clear app data, or delete the App. Roohan cannot remotely retrieve or erase them.
  • Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings for Roohan’s Firebase/Google Analytics property and Google’s applicable policies. Aggregated reports may be retained longer where they no longer identify an individual installation.
  • Crashlytics data is generally retained by Firebase for 90 days before deletion begins, subject to Google’s current service terms and backup processes.
  • Purchase data is retained as needed to validate and restore entitlements, maintain transaction records, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and app-store obligations.
  • Support messages and website logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer requests, maintain security, document resolutions, and meet legal obligations.

Retention periods may be extended when information is required for an unresolved dispute, security incident, legal hold, or other legal obligation.

8. International data transfers

Roohan and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, including the United States and other locations where Google, RevenueCat, app stores, and infrastructure providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we and our providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or applicable adequacy frameworks.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the data. Provider communications are encrypted in transit. Detailed app records are kept in the App’s local storage, reducing transmission to Roohan; however, local storage is not a substitute for device security. Use a device passcode, keep your operating system current, control device backups, and avoid sharing an unlocked device.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security or recovery of local records.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Local records

You can view and delete individual payment entries in Net Billable. Deleting the App or clearing its storage removes Net Billable’s local data from that device, subject to any device backups. Because Roohan does not receive the complete local ledger, we cannot retrieve, correct, export, or delete it for you.

Subscriptions

Manage or cancel a subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play settings. Deleting Net Billable does not cancel a subscription. You may need to contact the applicable store about payment-account or billing data.

Requests about data held by providers or Roohan

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising; and appeal a decision. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email support@roohan.me with “Net Billable privacy request” in the subject. Describe the device platform, approximate dates of use, and the right you want to exercise. Do not send your financial ledger. We may need reasonable information to verify and locate a pseudonymous record. In some cases, we may direct you to Apple, Google, or another provider that independently controls the relevant information.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Rights may be limited by exceptions in applicable law, including where we cannot reasonably verify or link an anonymous identifier to you.

11. Children

Net Billable is designed for freelance and business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through Net Billable or a support request, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required. Older minors should use Net Billable only with the involvement of a parent or guardian where local law requires it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to Net Billable, our providers, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date identifies the latest version. If a change materially affects how we handle personal data, we will provide reasonable notice in the App, on this page, or by another appropriate method.
